Statement
The International Visitors Council of Greater Oklahoma
City welcomes visitors from around the world. It promotes
international understanding through the exchange of
people, ideas, and culture with an ultimate Vision of
World Peace.
What is the IVC?
The International Visitors Council unites people who
are interested in internationals and world affairs.
Its monthly meetings provide educational opportunities
and a place to connect with local resources.
Established in 1957, through the OKC Chamber of Commerce
as a friendship family program, the IVC is a non-profit,
non-partisan organization open to the general public
and dedicated to promoting education and understanding
of international affairs and cultures through diverse
programs
Who
Are These Visitors And What is the International Visitor
Program?
The International Visitor Program (IVP) operates under
authority of the Mulual Educational and Cultural Exchange
Act of 1961 (Fulbright-Hays Act). The Department of
State directs the program in cooperation with a wide
range of non-profit organizations operating under cooperative
agreements with the Department of State.
